Working ‘freelance’ through my own Limited Company (Quaestor Enterprise Ltd) for a succession of major UK contractors on both domestic and international contracts, primarily on long-term placements in senior commercial positions, plus ad-hoc contract work for smaller construction companies involved in civil engineering, property development and property refurbishment.
Long-term placements include:-
| April 2010 to present day Morgan Sindall | Site-based Project Quantity Surveyor at Aldershot on Project Allenby Connaught, the infrastructure upgrade of the MOD assets and property on Salisbury Plain. Responsible for all commercial aspects on this £4.1 million scheme, especially recovery of the £2.8 million variation account. |
| September 2008 to July 2009 Norwest Holst | Site-based Project Quantity Surveyor at Stratford, East-London on the High Meads Loop Enclosure, part of the infrastructure for the Olympic Village. Responsible for all commercial aspects on this £15 million scheme; and management of the same including claim preparation to Final Account. |

Responsible for all commercial aspects including selection, negotiation, and letting of all subcontract packages on this £9 million scheme; an ICE 6th Edition Contract to RT3 Network Rail Special Conditions; and management of the same thereon to Final Account. |

Responsible to the Managing Quantity Surveyor for selection, negotiation, and letting of all subcontract packages on this £35 million road and bridge contract, an NEC Option C (Target Cost with Activity Schedule) Contract; and management of the same thereon. |
